God is grace. I believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in his salvation from eternal sin and death. And I believe God made me in his image.
Can you relate your own illnesses as a definitive of who you have become?
OCD- obsessive compulsive disorder
PTSD- post-traumatic stress disorder
Borderline personality disorder
Major Depressive Disorder
Schizophrenia Disorder
Bipolar Manic/Depression disorder
Anxiety Disorder
paranoia Disorder
Of the above PTSS is the only one man-made, although the others could be influenced by learned social behavior such as abuse. The disorders are triggered by the brain chemical makeup. Get the correct medication and dosage and a light switch metaphorically gets turned on or off the disorder is manageable. Talk therapy, journaling, blogging, all help to get the mental processes flowing and recognition of which disorder is being affected and when or why. Knowing helps one to manage the symptoms of their illnesses- sometimes.
God created me in his image…. an image or photograph has down to the tiniest pixel scanned and reproduced. God creates good health and poor health but doesn’t do it on a reward-punishment of the faithful regimen. Our natural man-made environmental changes have caused allot of illnesses to occur. God doesn’t want us to be ill- all the healings of Jesus and the disciples prove that. Sometimes, grace plays a hand in that our illnesses could be worse without God intervention.
It’s how people respond to their own illnesses that is a factor in their well being. There are some things that can’t be changed even with medications, and some things that can be changed through sheer willpower or faith. I believe in prayer warriors are called by GOD to intercede on our behalf- especially when we can’t pray for ourselves. It is a community of faith that lift one another up and bring attention to those who are downtrodden so that the faithful might do something useful; listen, take a meal over to the ill, or pray and sympathize with or just love the ill person or their family. It is our actions that can help heal a person’s spirit and be reflected in their soul or one’s own spirit and soul.
God is grace that while we were still sinners, he sent his son Christ Jesus to the cross to be crucified as an atonement for our sins, so that we may have an eternal spiritual life with him.
