I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
Our collective health issues have remained the same in some of us and improved in others of my family members. That is good. We have met financial challenges head-on and have conquered them fearlessly. We remain steadfast in our faith and love of God and his son and their holy spirit. We plan events that we want to accomplish for the tomorrow and relish the present that the love of our children and grandchildren bring to mind and heart. Other family and friends we hold with love and great affection as they too help complete us as social human beings.
We are lucky, some people do not have many to love or even like and some do not experience the opportunity that risking ones heart to be torn asunder in their great love of others presents. But as the poet says, “I would rather lived and loss rather than lived with out love.” (paraphrased).
As you look back over your year since the last Thanksgiving. Ask yourself what is it that you can really appreciate about your life? What is the definition of self-worth to you? Who is it that you love and know they love you back? In the bottom line what really matters to you foremost than any other person or thing? What would you say is your self- identity if someone were to ask you? I know mine would be that I love God and my family and care about others. That being of good character is essentially important to me.
In the end, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving while surrounded by happy family and friends. May your Thanksgiving 2022 make loving memories for you.
